Meet Dr Nayan Desai
Dr Nayan Desai is a dentist in Lenasia South who provides a range of dental services, including general dentistry, restorative dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics and oral surgery.
He completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2014 before going on to obtain a Master of Science in Dentistry from the same university in 2020. Outside of the practice, he served as a sessional dentist and educator at the Wits Oral Health Centre from 2020-2023 and currently serves as a sessional lecturer in the Department of Physiology at the University of the Witwatersrand.
Dr Desai chose dentistry because it combines two things he values greatly: working with people and paying attention to detail. The profession allows him to build meaningful relationships with patients while working with his hands to address a variety of dental concerns. He enjoys the balance between the technical and human aspects of dentistry, helping patients maintain their oral health through every stage of life.
His approach focuses on understanding each patient's concerns and providing the information they need to make informed decisions about their dental care. Whether someone is attending a routine check-up, seeking restorative treatment, or exploring cosmetic options, the goal is to create a comfortable environment where patients feel at ease discussing their oral health.
At home, he enjoys family time and an active and sporty lifestyle. He also enjoys reading, gardening, and long walks with his dogs.

Meet Dr Jitendra R. Singh
Dr Jitendra R. Singh is a locum dentist at President Dental Centre, bringing close to three decades of clinical experience to every consultation.
After completing his qualifications at the University of the Witwatersrand, he established President Dental Centre in Lenasia South in 1997, where he practised for 25 years.
In 2021, Dr Singh took on a lecturing role in the Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery Department at Wits Dental Hospital, and continues to practice part-time at President Dental Centre alongside this. His specialities include dental implants and complex dental reconstruction, and teaching keeps him engaged with current techniques and research, which he draws on in his consultations and treatment planning.
Outside the practice, Dr Singh enjoys walking, cooking, and giving his time to charitable causes.
